Period Party in Soho.

last weekend, my friend lindsay invited me to the period store party in soho.
i was a little unsure about attending a party all about periods...can you say awkward!?
the owners of the store are good friends of lindsays and this was their official grand opening.
you're probably wondering, what the heck is a period store!?
i'll fill you in.
basically they send a beautiful package every month before your time of the month
every package is filled with things that help get you excited about your period
things like gourmet chocolate, art work, product, ect.
they've said...
"periods can be lame--we're striving to make them a little more enjoyable".
i have to say i think it's a brilliant idea.
the party ended up being so much fun. we were laughing all night.
lindsay and i enjoyed the clever food and decor probably a little too much.
 fallopian tube cookies.
the three owners of the period store.
 tampon-weenies. ha!
 couldn't resist the photo op.
one of the owners of the period store is a hair stylist in paris.
she was braiding hair in exchange for period stories. love it!
lindsay got her hair braided and it looked so cute.
wishing i had a picture of the finished product.
the pad and tampon headpiece masterpiece.
i still don't want to throw mine away... it's been a week!

Sleepovers & Tacos.

Friday night we had a sleepover with the Smith's & Levesque's!
The Levesque's recently moved into an amazing building in NJ.
The amenities at this place are endless and they have so much space for their new addition.
(They're having their first baby in 5 weeks!)

It's official, sleepovers are no longer just for kids!
We had way too much fun.
Staying up all hours of the night, watching movies, cereal parties and laughing a lot.
We're so grateful for our friends.
They're our NY family and make living far from home a little easier.

Eric & Jeffrey on the rooftop deck, overlooking Manhattan.
Movie theater in the building?!
I'm pretty sure I'd never leave this room.
Good Morning, Sunshine!
Saturday evening we met Cara and Josh for the best mexican food at La Esquina!
They're an awesome couple, it was so fun getting to know them.
After dinner we went to three different theaters to find a good movie.
We ended up seeing Star Trek and absolutely loved it!

Brooklyn Smorgasburg.

A few Saturdays ago, Jeff and I spent the afternoon at the Smorgasburg in Brooklyn.
The Smorgasburg is part of the Brooklyn Flea Market but only sells FOOD!
Vendors from the city bring their goods to sell, rain or shine.
The food we tried was incredible and you can't beet this view!

Dough!
Jeffrey was loving the fine chocolate vendors.
Madagascar chocolate too!
The pigs in a blanket were amazing!
Everything we tried we loved, but Mighty Quinn's stole the show.
They had the best brisket that was slow cooked for 12 hours!
We had the best time and will definitely spend many more Saturdays at the Smorgasburg!

B.O.S.T.O.N.

a few weekends ago we joined the Smith's for a quick getaway to Boston!
it was my first time to this beautiful, historic city and it lived up to all the hype.
we had so much fun exploring quaint streets, learning about our country and eating way too much delicious food!
we met the Smith's good friends, the Marcum's, for brunch at the Friendly Toast.
they have the sweetest little girl Clara, i couldn't get enough of her!
chocolate chip, banana, peanut butter pancakes.
why didn't i think of this sooner!
the gang!
love these two!
follow the red brick road...
we had divine blueberry pancakes at The Paramount.
Harvard was beautiful!
"biggest dog i've ever seen" award goes too...
 Boston, we love you!
