A Weekend for the Arts.

Finally, I got around to posting about a wonderful weekend we had a while back.
(like a month ago...)
Yikes!
A couple girlfriends got together for dinner at Stand 4, where we devoured amazing toasted marshmallow shakes.
It's a must.
Then we spent the rest of the evening singing our hearts out at an Ingrid Michaelson concert.
It was a blast, so much fun.
Still can't believe how amazing she is live.

Saturday night was date night.
We saw the New York City Ballet perform the Nutcracker.
Something I've always dreamed of seeing.
I loved every minute.
The boys stayed awake for the most part.
A big thanks to the skittles we snuck in! ;)
Lincoln Center is beautiful.

Amanda "Koch" Smith.
She owns the place!
I was able to sneak one (terrible) picture on my phone.
It was a great weekend with some of my favorite people.
Night's like these are why I never want to leave the city.
I have to admit, I'm in love with NY!!

Coldplay.

WE SAW COLDPLAY!!

I was not prepared for how amazing this concert would be. The production they put on was one I'll never forget. I would have to say they sound better live than recorded.

Also I may or may not have a little crush on Chris Martin... don't tell Jeff. His voice is one of my favorites! The lighting was absolutely crazy. When we entered our section we were given a wrist band. They told us to put it on, as it was part of the show. During the opening song all 20,000 wrist bands lit up and the arena was glowing.

We had the best time and will hopefully be able to see them again in the future.

Tribeca Film Festival.

A few weekends ago a group of us attended the Tribeca Film Festival street fair. It's this fun free event they have every year for families during the festival. I guess the Tribeca Film Festival is a two week event and every day there's something going on to celebrate it. There were multiple broadway shows performing, athletes signing autographs, tons of street performers and a lot of crazy kids running around!
Elphaba from Wicked. She was amazing.
Rock of Ages.
Memphis.
this guy was amazing at doing tricks on his metal rod.
we got to meet Elphaba!
it was a chilly day. hot chocolate breaks to keep us warm.
the boys wanted to fit in with kids.
the freedom tower in progress. it's now the tallest building in NYC.
so many fun street performers.
such a fun day!
