Aloha Hawaii - Part Two.

The rest of the trip went like this...

a beautiful hike up to the Makapuu Lighthouse. 

we spent an afternoon on the North Shore.

 we started the day off by visiting the beautiful Hawaii Temple.

after the temple we enjoyed lunch at Kua Aina for amazing burgers.... avocado and grilled pineapple burgers to be exact! seriously so good.

mariel bought some new shoes. 

the rest of the day was spent jumping off cliffs, snorkeling, and soaking up the sun at Waimea beach.

i was more nervous jumping off this cliff then out of a plane!

(i need to get my priorities straight)

on the way home we had to make a stop for some shave ice. YUM!

one afternoon we went surfing at Barbers beach.

mariel rocked it! a few waves in she got hit hard in the face and got a big fat lip. the surfboard flew up in the air and landed on her mouth/face. ouch. she iced it for a bit and went right back out to catch some more waves!

 brunch at the Kahala Hilton is one of my favorite things to do in Hawaii. we went when we were on our honeymoon a few years back and I knew we'd have to go this time around. the food is fabulous and you can't beat the view.

the resort also had dolphins. how cute are they?

 we enjoyed walks along the beach on Sunday evenings.

most evenings were spent enjoying beautiful meals on the deck.

is this not a dream? so beautiful. 

on one of our last days Tutu & Papa Johnny took everyone to the Outrigger for brunch. where we ate way more than we should have.

the view from the deck... it never gets old!

I married into an amazing family. I feel so grateful to be a part of it. we love and miss you all!
