I turned 23!

Last Saturday we celebrated my 23rd year of life. I have always been a little obsessed with my birthday. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because of the presents, cake and that people say nice things to me! My Mom always made a point to create a very special day for my siblings and I. On our birthdays we were always woken up with a beautiful tray of our favorite breakfast foods and half sleeping brothers and sisters singing around the bed. Some of my favorite memories come from my special day.
I'm so glad I married someone who, like my Mom, likes to make me feel very special and extra loved on my birthday. Saturday Jeff woke me up with breakfast in bed and a delightful morning singing voice! He really spoiled me with beautiful flowers and UGG boots. During the day we stayed in our pajamas watching movies and hanging out. He surprised me with dinner at Ruth's Chris and then we went to the movies (If you can't tell I really love movies). It was a perfect relaxing day with my best friend!
Hearing from friends and family is the best part of birthday's. I feel so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life. I am one lucky girl!

Tuesday night was a Christmas cookie exchange party. It was so fun getting together with friends and trying all sorts of cookies. Such a great way to start the holiday season. I think the exchange needs to become a tradition every year. These are the sugar cookies/bars I attempted.

Today these sweet girls took me out to lunch for my birthday. We went to the Nordstrom Bistro Cafe. This place is my favorite, everyone needs to try it!
While at the mall Chelsie and I took Jaxon to see Santa.
Jaxon was not very excited to be sitting on Santa's lap... Poor kid!

Happy Holiday's.
