Thursday my friend Lauren and I walked through Central Park to Trader Joe's. From my apartment it's exactly a 2.7 mile walk. I usually take public transportation, but it was so beautiful out we walked instead. We grabbed a cold treat to enjoy while walking... peanut butter frozen yogurt... yes please!
I'm in love with Trader Joe's. They have some of the best prices and produce around. You get so much food for so little money, and that's a rare thing when shopping in New York. Grocery shopping here in the city is an eventful one. I feel like I'm always running with two hands/arms full of groceries to catch the next bus or subway... and I'm sure I look ridiculous! The conveniences of a car are always missed when I'm shopping. I can't imagine how I'll fair in the middle of July when it's blazing hot outside... I just might have to order my groceries in!

cute lauren.
my favorite park.
Friday was spent doing homework. Finals are next week so I've been busily preparing for them and can't wait till they're over! After work and homework all day Jeff and I needed a break so we decided to go out for dinner and dessert. We wanted to avoid the subway and crowds so we stayed in our neighborhood for the evening. We found a great Thai place and enjoyed cupcakes at Two Red Hens. I love being able to walk a few blocks from home and have so many options for great food. The rest of the night consisted of cuddling on the couch watching Lost. We're still obsessed! I love nights like these.
Saturday night we met Lauren and Lincon at our favorite pizza joint... Grimaldies! They're a cute couple from Connecticut and it's been so fun getting to know them.
Lincon's smile is the best in the photo below... trying to pose/smile while distributing pizza. Not sure he understands what a candid shot is! haha
We then walked over to Madison Square Park and found a charming bench with a great view of The Empire State Building. The parks here in New York are the best for people watching. It's crazy what you'll see!
I love weekends like these.
